Caswell P. Lane, III

Cas Lane serves as a director of portfolio strategies in the Financial Institution Strategies Department within Raymond James’ Fixed Income Capital Markets (FICM) division. In this role, Cas works with depository institutions, insurance companies and total return managers to assist and advise in portfolio construction, balance sheet management and earnings enhancement strategies.

Cas joined Raymond James® in 2012 as a portfolio accountant in our Reportfolio® Portfolio Accounting department, where he had hands-on exposure to a broad spectrum of investment sectors and handled the accounting metrics used for these products. Cas was promoted in 2015 as a research analyst focusing on mortgage-backed securities, including collateralized mortgage obligations, adjustable-rate mortgages, commercial mortgage-backed securities and small business administration securities. Cas was promoted as co-head of MBS research in 2018. Cas routinely speaks at industry conferences, as well as Raymond James FICM conferences. Additionally, Cas frequently travels to meet with clients, their boards, investment committees and executive teams

Cas graduated from Georgetown College with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in finance and a minor in political science. Cas holds the following professional licenses: Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law).
